Weefty
Weefty is a destination shopping platform that allows users to experience different places. I was hired as a contractor where I supported the team in the launch of the new site through giving design suggestions, creating page mock-ups and user-flows. I also had to create the mock-ups as responsive layouts for desktop and mobile.

Overview
Weefty is a destination shopping platform, bringing together small businesses, boutiques, shops, and individuals to provide visitors and locals with the information to explore culture, diversity and atmosphere of a town. Weefty's goal is to aspire to connect individuals to the love and passion that goes into the businesses within every community.
Objective
My objective for this project was to create responsive designs based on the requirements set by the Project Manager. I had two goals; one was to make sure the application was captivating, leaving the visitor wanting to discover more about the area they are visiting. Second, I needed to design the onboarding process for stores to showcase their business, making sure the screens flowed and were as straightforward to complete as possible.

Wireframes
As I came onto the project with the branding already set, I was able to bypass low-fidelity wireframes and apply elements straight to high-fidelity mockups using Figma.
I collaborated with the Project Manager and Web Developer every step of the way to ensure the designs were visually acceptable and workable in development.

Homepage
As a primary part of this project was tasked with designing the homepage for the application. I came up with three options which I discussed with the rest of the team and iterated until we had the final design.
The requirements were to include the 'destinations' and links to the blog posts on the homepage for ease of access to the user.
I wanted to make it clear to the user what the site is about as soon as you land on the homepage.
I wanted to keep the homepage visual and incorporate the brand's colours and assets to be in keeping with their social and other pages on the site.

Store Onboarding
In order for a user to create their store they needed to have created an account. Once the user has a valid account they can then login and create their store page. Below shows hi-fidelity mock-ups of the user journey when creating their store page. The user must be logged into their account to begin.

Responsive Design
It was important to make sure the designs were responsive for both desktop and mobile view so all users can get the best experience possible.
